Im not sure if this is supposed to happen

This happened while i was waiting for the new update to download. The download screen got stuck at 1min , when that happened my machine started to slow down. After waiting for a few minutes thinking that it was my internet's fault the download started going over the set limit and the time reached negative values. I don't know if this is my computer's fault or the game's fault but i thought i should post it here anyways. After waiting a bit longer the download stoped and it gave me an error screen (error 004 i think it was, not sure). I cannot seem to make the update install properly cause of it and it sends me back to a backup older version. I am not able to play the game til this issue is resolved. Anyone got any advice on how to resolve this?
