"not connecting to server" message

Was recently having an issue where I wasn't able to log in and was getting the "cannot connect to server" message with a list of 3 options to try. With the new Windows Explorer 11 there is no 'offline mode' but going to the internet options menu, advanced tab, and resetting internet explorer I was able to log back in! I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, ect, going to Windows forums, ect, but couldn't find any recenti nfo on how to solve this with the new Internet Explorer! Hope this helps anyone else who had these issues.
