I don't know if it happens aswell with other supports, but sometimes when you try to use Targon, the creep's golds are correctly given to adc, but your stacks dont go down, meaning that you get no golds, nor heal on adc.
it's not limited to thresh and it's not the fault of Targon's Brace.
Kalista's Sentinel passive is usurping the power of the relic shield line. As such, you, as the support, go to last hit a minion and the kill goes to Kalista - not you - so the Relic Shield, Targon's Brace, Face of the Mountain passive does not proc.
I think they should recode such that Relic Shield passive has priority over Sentinel. Since Relic Shield passive ONLY applies to minions this recode is simple and would not affect any other aspect. As it is now, I hate supporting Kalista because I never get gold and she never gets healed. The last two Kalistas I was with went out of their way to hit every minion so they would get every kill and all the gold. hated those matches.
It happened to me too when trying it with Vi I sent in a help ticket to RITO and said the following:
"In playing some games today, I decided to try out something new and fresh, so I played Vi support starting with a relic shield and my lane partner was Kalista. In the time I was playing, I discovered that the passive on relic shield will not activate if Kalista procs the passive on Sentinal it and then I kill the minion. I do not know if this was intentional, if it's just for Vi, or if it was unintended, but it makes trying to heal Kalista a challenge when I can't use any of those orbiting blue spheres. It seems choppy and very clumsy in relation to the agility and opportunity that having Kalista soulbound to a tanky support provides."
I was told that they couldn't be sure when they'd get to it, but that they would look into it.
I'm not sure if it's intentional, but it makes relic shield a hard item to go with Kali, but hard not to since Kali works well with Tanky supports.
