[GAMEPLAY] Varus - Ultimate's AP Ratio Not Applying to Enemies Beyond the First/Initial Target
*NOTE: This is on Varus built with AP items; the bug will be completely unnoticed on his standard AD build.
When Varus casts his ultimate ability (Chain of Corruption - R), the first enemy champion hit takes the full amount of magic damage, but when the tendrils spread out and successfully infect another enemy champion, the magic damage dealt is significantly lower. This should not be the case as the ability's description states that all targets "take the same damage" if any tendrils successfully land on them.
As seen in the screenshot linked, Chain of Corruption deals 175 (+381) magic damage but Tristana only receives 121 damage. It is the only instance of damage being dealt to her at that very moment, confirmed by the crowd control gauge, the debuff icon, the effects/animation of the tendrils on her, and her Summoner Heal being unused. She has 41 magic resistance at that moment, and because I am not informed enough of exactly how magic resistance is calculated against magic damage, I am assuming that only the base damage of 175 was dealt (then reduced by her magic resistance).
In that cast of Chain of Corruption, the first target was Blitzcrank, who seemed to take the full amount of damage. It then spread to Gnar, who obviously took heavily reduced damage (even though he had less magic resistance than Blitzcrank). Then it finally spread to Tristana, who took the same "heavily reduced damage" as explained in the previous paragraph.
I am not sure how long this bug has existed or if it has been reported/noted in the past, but as stated in the notice at the very beginning of this post, I assume that this has gone almost completely unnoticed due to the rarity of AP Varus builds.
