Jhin Ultimate Camera Bug?

I'm not sure if this is a bug, or a design flaw, or an intentional design, but coming out of Jhin's ultimate centers the camera either on the original cast location or the last shot fired (not sure which) instead of reentering on the champion.

It's extremely disorienting, and requires you to hammer the recenter key. Or just play with camera lock, and that seems awful.
