Can't disable chat filter

After i installed the new beta client my chat filter won't turn off. I use the gear icon on the top right side of the launcher however it doesn't disable the chat filter in game. I check it after game and on chat & friends "option enable language filter" there is no tick. But in game this doesn't seem to be the case. Maybe any of you know a fix to this, or the location of files that you can manually adjust to make the chat filter disabled (if there are those files in the first place).

how I fixed mine was just going to my C Drive > Riot Games > League of Legends then in the search field type "preferences"... open it up in wordpad... it should say EnableChatFilter=1.... change the 1 to a 0 (EnableChatFilter=0)

For those still confused, this also worked for me.

Go to C Drive > Riot Games > League of Legends
Search for "preferences" folder. Mine was at C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_air_client\releases\0.0.1.236\deploy
Inside the folder, you'll find a file named "shared_'summonername'.properties" ('summonername' = you summoner name)
Open the file with notepad and you'll see EnableChatFilter=1. replace 1 with 0 and save the file

Profit. The next time you swear in chat you'll see all the magnificent foul language.

I did everything you said and i still can't get it to work,in game all i see is **** and it gets on my nerves.

Im having the same problem. Its really annoying to see the **** every time. Id rather just see the swearing in chat.

Having this same problem as well. I feel like there used to be a separate option to turn it off in game, but I might just be making that up.

UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE I CANNOT FIND THE "lol_air_client" in the projects folder. if that is the case i would recommend doing what our friend Mysu has said. also, you can use NOTEPAD as well if you for some reason don't have the wordpad haha
