Twisted Treeline Bug?

I decided to play a 3v3 Treeline game with a couple of friends and we came across something rather odd. After about a minute into the game we got hit with another loading screen. Apparently so did the opposing team, however we closed the second loading screen and continued on. Now, from what I saw, one of the enemies did the same thing. But the other two team mates of his ended up in a separate game where my team was disconnected. Does anyone know what happened or is there any explanation?
