Gp barrel with cheap shot

Noticed how when i place the dummy in the first barrel I hit with my Q it gets the bonus true dmg from cs,but when i chain the barrels (for example the dummy stands in the second circle) then the cheap shot won't occur. not sure if this is meant to be working this way :)
