Champion select is blacking out and I can't choose a champion to get in game

When I launch the patcher, I can log in and then I get to the home lobby where I can buy skins, champions, summoner icons, etc. etc. When I try to go into any type of game made I can join que accept and then when it would normally put me into champion select it just gives me a blackscreen and I cannot choose a champion before it kicks me out of the match and I have to restart the que. This has happened every time I've tried this morning. I was wondering if anybody else was having this problem or if it was just me and they haven't updated the server status. .
