KAYNE ult bug and EMOTES - sound clutter
Hei Riot? I wanted to add something relating to the importance of the sound in the game. Often I feel like there is a lot of focus on the visuals being smooth and clear, but the sounds are neglected.
When Kayne enters in his ultimate, there is a muting of the surrounding sounds. This is good in order to inform me of what I am doing In case of visual clutter. HOWEVER a huge problem arises for me when the target I have ulted on dies before the end duration of my ultimate. The muting does not go away and all my other ability spells are practically soundless. this is extremely distracting and confusing. and sometimes the muting stays on longer than the duration of the ult itself. I often find myself as if handicapped in the continuation of the fight and I am extremely confused as to what I am doing. ---------------- Another thing with Ult, when it is written Untargetable, why is it that poison damage, burn or ignite still have effect and you can die in the Ult?? It makes the actual use of the ability, which is to escape clutch situations and reset cool down, rather than for damage, very hard to pull off and last second plays are not possible. this kind of takes away from the enjoyment of the champ, the fantasy of this sneaky shadowy assassin kinda fades into a blob of failure XD
Now EMOTES - I read the little post about them and I think they are an awesome addition and it is fun to interact with them, and the visual clutter is definitely not big, because they are still images. However the sounds are devastating. I think the mere volume they are at compared to even ability sounds, such as lets say Rengar Ult roar, is very distracting. some have a little blob sound and are cute, but the overall loud stringy sound is awful. funnily enough if a team has good enough coordination they can use these loud noises to block out other ability information (Rengar Ult XD). It is a new system so here is my feedback, please reduce the noise clutter they cause, because they are distracting. The sounds do add effect to the emotion expressed, but subtlety is key.
I have to say some sound things have been fixed before, such as the timer countdown in champ select was increased in volume, which was nice. sometimes even skin sounds are confusing, such as pool party Lulu Q the hit sound.
thanks, :D
