[RANKED] item bug causes inability to remake

Just played a ranked game, my midlaner disconnects for 5 minutes and we were not able to remake because he had stopwatch so it counted as player buying items. I thought something so obvious like this would be fixed during the preseason, how is something so obvious like this still here and no one at riot thought "oh, we should make sure players don't lose free lp for no reason?"
