Recently played a game as Jinx vs. an enemy Malzahar. Noticed that when I shot my rocket AAs at Malz it said "spell shielded" for the following four rocket attacks. I understand maybe negating the rocket splash but I thought it was intended to block spells/abilities and not a champions AA.
Malzahar skirts the line between dimensions, activating Void Shift after avoiding direct damage for 30 / 18 / 10 / 6 seconds. During Void Shift, Malzahar takes 90% reduced damage and is immune to crowd control. Malzahar loses Void Shift 1 second after taking damage from a non-minion source or blocking a crowd control effect.
He blocks all kinds of damage and not just from spells and abilities.
