Sejuani E and blue smite don't work together anymore

Since I stared playing only in season 6 i found out that you could use to activate 's E without hitting an enemy with an auto or ability. Starting in patch 6.6 I found out that this doesn't work anymore, I assumed this was just a bug that just finally got fixed but then i checked the patch notes and there isn't anything about it. I'm also kinda hoping someone could fix this, but i understand if it was just a bug.
