Can't add friends and play bot games

So my friend just started playing league and the first thing we see is cool bugs, first of all, I can't even add my friend and 2nd we can't even get into a bot game. After the timer runs out and the game should start the client shows an error about not being able to start game. There is no way we are playing blind pick, that's the dark corner of league. So yeah that's a nice way to introduce someone to the game lmao
