Getting lvl5 on a champion in a Grade "S" Game

Dear Riot Staff,

so I just got of a S+ Game with Hecarim that got me to level5. Up pops the usual level 5 animation and after continuing it there was another screen that said I already got a token for level 6 mastery. I thought wow that is cool I don't have to play another game to get a token.

Now this story has an ugly twist: I never got the token :o

While its not a big deal I am still curious on what is the actual state:

Was it a bug that I did not get the token even though I should have or is the actual bug that the level 6 mastery token screen showed up even if you have to play a new game when you already acquired level 5 on a certain champion.

It happened to me too. You don't get the token since when you got it, Riot still counts you as level 4. The message pop up is actually informing you that you can get Level 6 mastery tokens now.

So you need to get S once you're already level 5.

You need to get to lvl5 first before you can earn tokens.

So i think it was a bug
