The Real Problem with Ranked Games

Okay Riot, this will be quick and easy. The worst game function by far is the matchmaking and LP system that the ranked matches work under. It does not promote the betterment of self-mechanics. For instance, let's say that a given Jinx goes 30-0-30 scoring the best KDA we've ever seen, but somehow manages to lose that game. I find it ridiculous that this Jinx would only be penalized in this current system. You should be rewarded based on things like cs-ing, taking objectives, and KDA just to name a few. In a ranked match you are trying to raise your ladder score so it would make sense that the Jinx we talked about before should be awarded handsomely for the amazing hypothetical game that she just played, not punished for it.

First, wrong forum. This is a forum for bugs, not a forum for whining.

Second, the problem is this idea tends to encourage a 'me first' mentality. League of Legends is a team game, yes, and rating individual people based on the performance of their team might not make a lot of sense. But it's entirely possible to have a super-awesome player like your 30/0/30 Jinx who not only loses the game but is directly responsible for it because they don't play with their team. They could be so focused on their own score that they don't push towers, avoid teamfights, and focus on entirely the wrong things because dat KDA yo. Rewarding him for costing his team the game is even dumber than punishing him for doing well in a game his team lost.

Great example: Jinx is 30 0 30 - only goes in when she's guaranteed a kill, and leaves when there's a risk of death, leaving the team to fight alone. If she was better team fighting mechanically - her team would've won.

With this example how do Tanks / Junglers / Supports rank up? If they take kills and CS, they are hindering their AP and AD Carries. If it's an individual game, team fighting for who gets what role will increase and become more toxic. Who would want to support if it meant slower climb?

If you are a 30-0-30 Jinx, that would mean your team has 60 kills, and that your team mate shares 30 kills among the 4 of them. How exactly are you able to lose a game like that? If an ADC having 30-0-30 lost a game, all I can say is that he/she doesn't deserve a win.

He/She needs to learn to translate her advantage into objectives. Chances are with 30-0-30, she can take down a tower in no time, secure the dragons and baron because she will win teamfights with her absurd damage. If she can't facilitate her advantage to a victory, she doesn't deserve one
