[Gameplay] Steelseries mouse buttons not working

I just came back to the game so the patch since the problem exists is a bit longer.

After patch 5.4 my Steelseries mouse with multiple buttons stoped working. before the patch i could bind it ingame even though the buttons where labled with kinda random names like "next" "stop" or something similar.

Now i cant get any button to work even though i have assigned 1 2 3 or q w e to the buttons they just dont work.

This is not really gamebreaking but it still sucks that i cant use half of my item-keybinds anymore.

i only found this thread on the problem but unfortunatly nobody seems to have found a solution by now.

looking forward for some help here
