Zac 'E' and Shaco Boxes [Unexpected Behavior]

If you're flying through the air as Zac and you happen to pass near enough to a Shaco box to trip it, you still land at the aimed location, but you neither do damage, nor scatter enemies. Just basing my reasoning on what the ability is supposed to be, it doesn't make much logical sense. The fear also seems to start after you reset at the final position, rather than when you actually set off the trap. This all may be intentional, but it does not seem like expected behavior.

What would make more sense is: You still land and do splash damage and knock back, and then still endure fear for the remainder of the time after you tripped the shaco box. or The launch gets interrupted (as I believe happens on Amumu), and they stop advancing where they became feared. or The box just doesn't get tripped. You're supposed to be airborn, right? Tripping the box mid-air doesn't really make a lot of sense.
