Recent patches causing consistent client crashes

Maybe it's just my old pc, but every other match since last patch started with the league of legends logo staying on screen instead of going away, and the whole screen turning black.

It then stays like this until an error box tells me I can't connect to the servers. This issue doesn't fix itself, and requires you to close and restart the client, then I can get into the game.

Maybe it's just on my end, but it's very irritating.
