Purchased jungle item without smite, gold was removed and no item was given

I just played a co-op game as Xin Zhao. My items were Youmuu's Ghostblade, The Brutalizer, Last Whisper, Boots of Lucidity, and a Doran's Blade. I died while attacking a Nexus turret - the turret killed me. While dead I was looking through the new jungle items, I noticed I could purchase Ranger's Trailblazer - Warrior, so I did. My gold was consumed and no item was given so I bought another Brutalizer.

Edit: Looking at the statistics, I spent 10.9k. My items in inventory come to ~7.8k (2.7k + 1.337k + 2.3k + 1k + 440). I also bought some potions and 2 elixirs. So I spent around 8.7k on those. The cost of the new jungle item is 2250 so it should account for the difference.

Edit2: I also tried to undo the purchase but I was unable to get my gold back.
