There is a bug with the rune pages right now and it makes the game nearly unplayable. The issue with the rune pages is that you can't save your runes. It will then give a random set of runes, when you can save your runes it will STILL give a random rune page. I hope I'm not the only one experiencing this issue, this needs to be fixed right away!

Yup just happened to me as well, lost lp because of this garbage a$$ bug. Riot games should stick with one game until they get it right.

i just lost a game because the ENTIRE TEAM got default runes.. and of course we lose and we still lose lp.... not even loss forgiven this is crap
Can confirm, already in my second game with this bug.
Coaching a team of 5. All 5 of my students had default rune pages for their champions. We had a grasp olaf jungle. Also all 5 enemies had default rune pages. They complained about it in all chat. They just queued again and the runes were fixed. Seems to not happen every game or is already fixed.
Guys its cool. Its been over an hour and ranked is still up. Riot obviously knows about the bug that is why they continue to let people play ranked! SMALL INDIE COMPANY.

You're client is trash. Ever since you "reworked" the runes your game has been trash. Thank you so much Tencent Games for ruining a great game since you wanted to compete with dota. it was already there but the greed, level of trolls, level of reporting the goo players and letter trolls tilt others is ridiculous. If you want the community to care then listen. Like even the pros think your next akali "rework" is trsh........... Stop giving accounts ways to streamers with diamond yet making gold players gp through provisionals with Iron 2 in there first 3 games.

happened to me and the others one game, fine after that, but still something that should be looked into, I remember changing around runes said there was an error so I set it again

Just played a game with 4 players having grasp on champs that don't use it including both jg. I just want to play a game that works
just had both teams have it happen. it didn't end too badly for us since 3 of us could use the undying grasp. But the enemy team pretty much lost because of it.
This bug is actually about to demote me, rip my lp. No more ranked for the night.
Had the same thing just happen in my game, all 10 players. Riot, you need to shut off ranked. I'm not holding out for loss forgiveness but that ranked game was throwaway because they got luckier with the runes the client gave them.

First this patch it was the bugged support items (still not fixed). Now, we can't even have the runes we want in game. Cmon Riot - get your damned act in order.
Happened to me as well.... Why is ranked still up if this is a serve wide issue...... Riot you are a money making machine and have a HUGE ass company and something like this happens.... embarassing as fuck.
yeah same, but its not random rune page, its a default rune page and the main tree is given to you depending on the type of champ you are, mages get comet and tanks are getting grasp

Yep. I went in champ select and changed my MR to Armor and kept everything else the same (conq, triumph, Tenacity , coup, Bloodline, Ravenous) saved, then when I went in game I had electro, thankfully they both work fine on Kat. Didnt happen a second time, however. Luckily for me, I think the enemy was also affected since he had PTA on Yasuo.
Had it happen to me as well. I went to PTA from Lethal Tempo, which wasn't too terrible, but it did ruin my secondary rune page. It also gave my nautilus grasp of the undying xD

yo i had a game an hour ago where everyones runes were randomized. Crazy. I even had my Beemo page selected before the load screen but it defaulted to a comet/domination tree rune page.

Let me add here, that this had been a bug on PBE for quite some time and it had been reported multiple times in the PBE Boards but it got sent to Live servers because they do not hear nor care

DELUSIONAL nothing else to add, I played champs with also wrong runes or worst runes for my champion, so what? Still won and performed well, if you know your champion and capabilities, runes won't struggle you to win at all.

Lost a ranked game because of it, went conqueror on Ezreal but ended up with comet instead. It was fine in lane but once it got into actual team fights I felt like I was shooting pellets at them. Nevertheless, ended up losing and ended up at D2... (Do you think I can regain the loss game and get back into D1?). [sg-ahri-1]

This unfortunate bug has affected me and many others in the na and eu region.I am sure riot is trying their best to handle the situation.The bug has obviously been fixed as it was only present for a brief period.But,we now have to deal with the aftermath.What will riot do about reimbursing the lp of the affected players.More importantly,Why was loss prevention not turned on?It has been a day since the bug and there has seemingly been no word of what riot will do to rectify this situation.
Some will argue that the runes bug affected all 10 players in a given match so we shouldn't demand our lp back.I would like to argue that we should have loss prevention because the bug benefited some players while harming others.This gives an unfair advantage to some.A good example would be in the jungle.Mundo jungle's first clear is so bad that he has to take fleet footwork or be executed.The essential is that this was a game breaking bug that affected players differently thus giving an unfair advantage to some over others.

Was this a system wide Issue? YES Na and Euw were affected,the many replies to this thread also proves this. Was it out of player controle? YES No one could change their runes thus affecting their matches.
It is quite obvious that loss prevention should have been turned on.SO why was loss prevention not enabled? the only thing I can think of is that perhaps no one was in the office when said bug occured.And now that it already happened,it would be too hard to go back and check every match that got this bug and give them loss prevention since it already happened.
There has been no word from riot as to what they will do.We do not know wether or not they have decided that they will turn back the losses or not.This makes players like ME feel that the people at riot are trying to sweep this under the rug praying that we do not make too much of a ruckuss.
