Client update total going up?

So with this new update bringing team fight tactics and qiyanna I have ran into a major problem. First off when I open the client it tells me to restart so it may update like normal when I restart everything seems normal until I start to download. Initially it says 0 mb / 63.6 mb and i slowly download the update but with every mb I download the total amount goes up? After a few seconds it then says I’ve downloaded 4 mb / 66.1 mb. I tried leaving my client on to update yesterday before I found this problem and it got up to over 300 mb /400 mb. This actually makes no sense why would the update be doing this? I have tried the hex tech repair tool in the past and it did not help and due to my slow 70-80 kB download speed I cannot try to do a full repatch especially with the fear of this bug happening with that too. Can anybody help me out, I ask here because the support system doesn’t really help with anything because they take to long and usually give a vague answer or ask if you have tried to uninstall and try again.
