[CLIENT] Launcher/Patcher ALT+F4 Interaction Problem
LoL Patcher closes down if another window is close using ALT+F4 while the patcher is open in the background. But, it's not affected if the patcher is minimized. Closing down the window using the close button will not affect the patcher.
Tried doing it multiple times with different windows (Skype - though the skype window doesn't really close down just minimizes, Google Chrome, Steam, My Documents, etc.) and the patcher still closes down.
It gets really annoying while patching and switching windows to check the patch progress and the patch suddenly gets reset because the patcher is closed because a window is closed using ALT+F4. This usually leads to an absurdly long Calculating Difference (Files Scanned) progress which can take up to 3-4 hours just by itself (happened multiple times to me and it gets really annoying) - DO NOT EVER CLOSE DOWN YOUR PATCHER ONCE THE PATCH HAS STARTED. The normal 30-60 minutes patch turns into 3-4 hours.
I'm using Windows 8.1, if that helps. Also, I didn't encounter this problem with the old launcher/patcher
[Edit] Also, it doesn't matter if its multiple windows open or just the two(window and the patcher), I did not "accidentally close" the patcher, I'll check it again tomorrow once my patch finishes because it would be annoying to have it restart again. [Edit] Ok, it does not seem to it a hundred percent of the time, but it does happen. It seems to only happen if you have the patcher in one of first two windows that you recently opened(if its minimized it won't close).Almost works 100% of the time if you're closing skype. If you want to try it here's the steps:
- Open the LoL and another program (preferably skype)
- Switch windows between LoL Patcher and the other program and have the other program in the front.
- ALT+F4 while the other program is open.
Again, I did not accidentally close down league. I tried doing it with other windows to see if its a keyboard problem and it works fine for me. It just does it with the LoL Patcher
