My Client Crashing Since 5.5 Patch

I don't know why, but ever since the 5.5 Patch my League client has been really buggy. It'll load up the launch screen and the summoner sign in screen perfectly fine. After that, however, the default screen shows up without most of the links loading properly, sometimes taking up to 5 minutes at a time or more to load (happened when the problem first started occurring). When I try to launch a game I'll get to champion select, choose my champ, etc., but when the game is supposed to be loading it doesn't go to the load screen properly and craps out on itself. This has happened to me twice in a normal game with friends and twice in a bot game to test whether or not me uninstalling 3 times has helped the cause. It hasn't so that's why I'm here now after being DC'ed from the second bot game. I know for sure it can't be my computer that's running terribly because it runs my Steam games and other applications perfectly fine. I'd really like to get back to playing League again. It's been lonely these past few days hearing my friends talk about how they went ham and rice on some unsuspecting team without me.
