Sandstorm Ekko's Timewinder Invisible

I just played a game against someone using the Sandstorm Ekko skin. Whenever he used Timewinder, his Q, the clock orb would turn invisible at maximum distance from Ekko. You could still tell it was there, as there was a shimmering effect similar to Lux's E, but the big golden clock would suddenly disappear. It would then reappear as it traveled backwards.

I tried to get a highlight of this, but it seems it was a client issue because it doesn't show up on the replay. However, one of my teammates confirmed in game that they were seeing the same issue.
