Aery's Mischief

I've noticed that when Sona has the Aery Rune, her Q will apply Aery to her allies instead of dealing damage. This is rather inconvenient, since I'd rather have the extra damage when I harass with Q rather than shielding my marksman. While I understand that the Q is technically a "buff" that could apply Aery, I thought Aery was only meant to apply to Heals/Shields. I'm hoping this is a bug, and that it will be fixed.
