Chest bug?

I earned my first chest two days ago on Olaf, then started playing Ascension when it came out, earned a chest today with Sejuani. Since I'm led to believe there's a five day cooldown on earning chests by my summoner page, I think there was something missed that makes the hextech crafting think of either Ascension, all weekend game modes, or different maps as different cooldowns for the purposes of Champion Mastery Chests.
