League keeps crashing my PC

League keeps crashing in loading screen and i can't quit the window so I have to hard reset my pc. Keeps happening 3/4 games since the patch. How do I fix this?

Same for me 2 games 2 times i had to restart my pc....

Anything that is hard locking or crashing a PC is a result of the PC being damaged in some way, not the software. User-space software simply cant do that by itself, but it can trigger an instability via intensive load or unusual functions.

First things to do are check for any recent driver updates, check your CPU and GPU temperatures during a game to verify nothing is overheating, verify drive health, verify operating system integrity. and run stress tests on your CPU, GPU, and RAM to ensure each is stable.

very incorrect it has happened to a good 50% of people even me and ive never had this problem before it started in 9.14 worked perfectly yesterday before the patch i didnt update any drivers it is a bug with league and im hearing it even happened in the pbe

Citation needed. Nothing on reddit or boards. If it was 3% (let alone 50) there would be cataclysmic uproar, ranked would be disabled, and the patch would be rolled back.

Do the math on how many players per game, and how many games would have missing players if it was even a couple percent.

If it is, it is just showing off how shit a lot of PCs are. probably people who are not used to running any remotely demanding software and are unaware of system issues.

This just happened to my friend twice in a row, black screened and soft locked his computer. COuld it be a possible Anti Virus bug like last time?

Edit: He has a very expensive PC that he built himself. The game was working perfectly last night before he updated to the current patch. Last patch the same thing happened to my other friend with Avast Antivirus.

I am using avast. Perhaps it's that that's causing the problem?

Looks like reports are popping up, it seems suspiciously similar to a bunch of past and current bugs with the windows 10 dwm and "optimized" fullscreen.

TL;DR is MS drastically altered how windows are displayed with windows 10, and developers are still running into pitfalls.

Buggy antivirus can always contribute, but i cant see it being the likely cause.

It will probably turn out to some some fine combination of graphics drivers, windows settings, game settings, monitor config, ect.

Actually I think it's happening to quite alot of people since I've seen it happen to 3 of my friends and 4 of my last 8 games since the patch have been remakes due to people not being able to connect.

I don't think it's my PC since it's a very recent pc with good specs and all my drivers are updated.

I can't seem to get LOL not to crash any longer. I play a bunch of other games on my PC, the only game my PC freezes playing or even get a BSOD is with LOL. It does not happen every game, every couple games I will have a problem normally. It has gotten worse over the past month or so. Running the latest drivers for everything I own, do run Avast for AV. Re-installed LOL, put it on my SSD and SATA volumes, no difference. No overheating for GPU/CPU, no HDD errors confirmed by diagnostics. Are others still having this problem or am I alone? Nothing in the system/application logs to suggest other issues.

Looks like I won't be able to play my favorite game any longer.

Same, it happened to 4/5 of my teammates after we finished our draft match. It soft locked our pcs and kept us on a black screen, the only thing we could do was to reset our pcs. We tried reinstalling the game but this didn't work. :(
