[Client] "You have left the game during Champ Selection" uhhh no i didn't

I wouldn't complain except that this has happened to me twice in the past week or so. I am sitting there in champ select. I pick my character. I lock in. I click nothing else. Then immediately I get booted from the lobby and have to eat a 6 minute timeout as punishment for the client glitching out. The game thinks that I dodged. In what universe is locking into a champion and waiting for the game to start considered 'dodging'?

Both times the bug came about after my initially declared champion was banned or sniped by another player. In both cases I had actually simply picked another champion that I was confident with, but the client didn't care. It had already decided that I was going to dodge and started wagging a finger in my face as if the client expects me to feel guilty for its own bugginess.

It's a little frustrating to eat a 6 minute timer because of the client's glitches but whatever. It kinda makes me not want to declare a champ if it means I'm gonna get booted from the lobby the moment it gets banned.

I'm pretty sure that champ select isn't supposed to work like this.

EDIT: I really have to ask. Has anyone else experienced this, or am I just unlucky? This has never happened in any instance where my declared champion wasn't banned or taken by another player. I've only experienced it twice: Once where my declared champ was banned, and the other where my champion was taken by an autofill support who wanted to play the champ I had declared. In both cases the champ in question was Lux.
