Invisible Braum Q's

I just got out of a ranked game vs Braum, and 75% of the time that he used Winter's Bite, the particle was invisible. Whether it landed or not seemed to be irrelevant - I saw it a couple times, but the majority of the time I just saw him use the skill and heard the sound it made, but couldn't see the the skillshot itself. It was just the base Braum skin.
