Black Screen after champ select

Every time I try to play a game in summoners rift, aram, ARURF, custom games, and even TFT I've been experiencing a black screen that never stops loading. Everything runs fine up until after champ select, or in the case of TFT immediately after accepting the match, where the screen occurs.

The longest I've waited is roughly 10 minutes and during this event I can't even tab out to any other window. The only way to resolve this screen is to forcefully shut off the Laptop. If I try to reopen league after turning the laptop back on shortly after it tries to reconnect to the match and the black screen just comes back.

I've ran the repair tool and reinstalled the game twice and neither helped. This has only been an issue since the last patch.

I've had the same issue since last week. Have posted a ticket with Riot's support but no fix yet. Actually it looks like it's getting worse, as the past couple of days I don't even get the black screen - the game client never launches and I get a the reconnect button which does nothing at all. Fun times!

Btw @Antimilk, you might want to edit game.cfg to have the game client launch in windowed mode so that at least you don't get the unresponsive window stuck on your screen. You can find it under $League_directory/Config.

Happened to me once last night too. I had to restart the PC, then my team was upset at me for reconnecting because they'd somehow gone 0/5 n the first two minutes and were hoping they could remake.

I've been submitting logs and trying to do fixes with support for over a week now. Ever since the patch last Thursday I cannot play because of this black screen. I waited for 40 minutes in a custom game and it actually loaded in, its ridiculous. You're not alone.

I've had this issue as well. Worst part is you get leaverbuster and lose 20lp, 3 times this week in ranked because of this bug
