[Client] Black screen when match is found

A couple of times now, when a match is found after waiting in the queue, just as the client is about to put me into the champion selection screen, the dialog goes completely black. Friends list, chat rooms and notifications tabs are still visible and are able to pop up and minimize as normal, but can do nothing else with the window. If i go to close the client I am informed of a penalty for leaving, it is either that or wait until the timer runs out, then i am booted from the room citing 'you failed to select a champion'. Then brings me home where every thing is normal again.

This bug seems to be completely random when it happens, but was hoping others may have experienced the same issue and maybe give more insight. It feels a bit unfair i am forced to wait because of a bug.
