Kicked from Lobby, given a Leave/Loss

I was in queue and about to start a match, when right as it started, the game refused to load and gave me a bug splat saying it identified corrupted files. I thought, ok, looks like the game never started, since the client went back to the homepage without a reconnect button or anything. About 3-4 minutes later while my client is still repairing for some reason (It worked fine a hour or 2 before when I was playing btw), I got this pop up saying I left the game in progress and was given a loss.

Why am I punished for a corruption error on your side of the game RIOT? I was clearly able to play before this if you look at my match history, and then I'm punished for a game that started when it shouldn't have even been able to start. I ended up losing something like 20-25 LP for something that was unavoidable on my end, and where I am on the ladder that's a HUGE deal. I want to know what the issue is with this and if I can get my points back or record cleared here or something. TYVM.
