[CRASH] My league isn't opening

I decided to play a couple of games before I went to my classes, and my friends mentioned an update had happened yesterday. I opened my league from my desktop and it just froze on the league of legends sign with the load bar at the bottom. I restarted my computer the same thing occurred, I redownloaded league but the same thing happened, then for the 10th time I tried opening it a message appeared saying the pvp.net kernal not workings. Not sure if its my net, comp or the update -_- really just want to play a couple of games of league. Anyone else have this problem? And PLZ HELP RITO
