Razer Arena Tournament integration causes ranked match forfeit
When using the Razer arena tournament code myself and my bracket opponent found a bug that will cause the opponent to be forced to forfeit and loose the match.
When the code is used by Player1, it will put Player1 into the lobby. If Player1 starts the match before Player2 joins the lobby, it will put Player1 into a 1 vs minions. When the match is finished, it will be reported as a victory for Player1.
When this happens, the tournament ID code for Player2 that is generated will be invalidated and they will not be allowed to join the match lobby.
To prevent this from happening, we came to the solution that when a tournament code is generated in this way (from the auto tournament brackets using Razer Arena), implementing a 5 or 10 minute forfeit timer would be able to prevent this from happening.
Adding a second timer on the game side allows a player enough time to get the code from Razer Arena and get logged into the League tournament lobby without this occurring. Now if there is some type of system issue, and one player is not able to get logged into the lobby. It still allows for their opponent, to "win" the match and continue their progress in the Arena tournament, in a reasonable amount of time.
Lastly, if this happens to you:
- Go to lolking.net,
- Type in the opponents summoner name into the look up
- Spectate the game to get a screenshot of the match playing 1 vs minion
- Contact the Razer tournament admin, to request an appeal of the match results.
