[Client] Hot Keys do not work forcing a game reboot

This is an issue that I have had for going on probably two+ years. It has occurred on many different champions and even different computers. Sometimes, I can go several weeks without an issue. Other times it can occur a couple of times a week.

When I say that my hot keys do not work, I mean that in the normal play of the game...pressing qwer, fd, b, 1-7, etc does nothing. I get no range indicators, I get no use of the ability or item. So, the only way to make anything on your champion work you have to use your mouse and click on the ability or item to use it. I know my keyboard works because I can type qwer, fd, b, 1-7 etc in chat and they work just fine in the same game that they do not work as hot keys.

The only way I know to 'fix' the issue is that I alt-tab out of the game. Then I open up task manager and kill all LoL processes. Then I load into LoL again and normally my hot keys will work as expected. This past game, I tried that and it did not work on the first reboot. So, I shut down LoL again and rebooted the entire computer. When I restarted LoL, my hot keys finally worked. I have attached the log files of the Urgot game I just played that required those 2 reboots. I have also uploaded the dxdiag file. If there are other files that would help, please let me know.

This is easily the worst and most frustrating gameplay experience of any game I have ever played. Literally the main mechanic with which to play the game does not work. I have submitted this issue before and I know others have as well. I have never seen a Riot response in any of those threads acknowledging the issue. Personally I feel all Riot employees should be required to play their game with only mouse clicks until they figure out and fix the issue. Maybe then they can appreciate how horrible it is to try to play their game when what should be a basic feature of mechanics of the game do not work.

Same issue, this time playing Kayle in a simple bot match. Log posted (it would only upload one, I was hoping to do before and after). I figure I will just start tracking it by posting it each time it happens here.

I can second this issue also happening to me. When it occurs, right at the beginning of the game I can tell because pressing "p" won't open the shop. After that, none of the other key bindings will respond either. The only solution I've been able to find was to exit the game and rejoin. Sometimes, that won't work and you have to close the entire client and log in again and everything.

Of all the bugs I've ever encountered, this really is one of the worst. Hoping this gets more attention and response from others too.

I can also attest to this bug. It ruins game and can take several times of closing the client and logging back in and getting back to the game to actually be able to use your skills. It hurts the entire team and is incredibly irritating. This bug needs fixed.

Same problem here, just like everyone else. This game doesn't deserve its fame.

So I have a little bit of insight into this problem, but have not found a fix. Most likely if you are having this issue, you are running Webroot antivirus through Chrome. For some reason the keyboard commands are sent to Chrome instead of League. If you are not running Webroot then you must have another third party app that is probably running as a background process through one of your internet browsers. The only solution I have found for this is to go into the task manager and kill all internet browser apps running. Now if you are running Webroot this will cause it to crash. I do not know if Webroot has to be running a scan at the time of the keybindings failing or if it is truly random. I have sent a ticket to Riot and to Webroot to see if anyone know a permanent solution to this problem without the need to reload the game.

Same issue here. Every time i press any key on keyboard the game crashes! So irritating. It is really hard to play only with mouse. Why tech support dont fix this anymore. Its a bug that last for months!
