[Client] Hot Keys do not work forcing a game reboot
This is an issue that I have had for going on probably two+ years. It has occurred on many different champions and even different computers. Sometimes, I can go several weeks without an issue. Other times it can occur a couple of times a week.
When I say that my hot keys do not work, I mean that in the normal play of the game...pressing qwer, fd, b, 1-7, etc does nothing. I get no range indicators, I get no use of the ability or item. So, the only way to make anything on your champion work you have to use your mouse and click on the ability or item to use it. I know my keyboard works because I can type qwer, fd, b, 1-7 etc in chat and they work just fine in the same game that they do not work as hot keys.
The only way I know to 'fix' the issue is that I alt-tab out of the game. Then I open up task manager and kill all LoL processes. Then I load into LoL again and normally my hot keys will work as expected. This past game, I tried that and it did not work on the first reboot. So, I shut down LoL again and rebooted the entire computer. When I restarted LoL, my hot keys finally worked. I have attached the log files of the Urgot game I just played that required those 2 reboots. I have also uploaded the dxdiag file. If there are other files that would help, please let me know.
This is easily the worst and most frustrating gameplay experience of any game I have ever played. Literally the main mechanic with which to play the game does not work. I have submitted this issue before and I know others have as well. I have never seen a Riot response in any of those threads acknowledging the issue. Personally I feel all Riot employees should be required to play their game with only mouse clicks until they figure out and fix the issue. Maybe then they can appreciate how horrible it is to try to play their game when what should be a basic feature of mechanics of the game do not work.
