[CRASH] Game crashes after champion select

So I was playing with my buddies today in league of legends and had just finished a game of mid. I started the next game (normal blind pick) called mid, and chose . After this I got into the loading screen and nothing but a black screen came up. I waited 15 seconds and a little dialog box came up that said "unable to connect to server. If you have a firewall, it may be blocking the connection. Would you like to retry the connection? [Yes] [Cancel]" I pressed yes and the same thing came up. I did nothing in between these two games and to try and fix the bug i deleted the third-party program "what the fast". I could not reconnect the whole game and have been penalized accordingly. I tried looking at my firewall settings and they allow League of Legends. I could play on my laptop after this (mac) so it is not a WiFi error. What is the issue or is this a bug?
