I have played 2 games today with Udyr and have noticed after activating his Q, W or R he freezes for 1 second and doesn't auto attack. For Turtle this wasn't an issue but trying to use Tiger and Phoenix and fight was not an option because as soon as i would use Tiger or Phoenix Udyr wouldn't attack anything. I suspect it would be the same for Bear but because i would use it before engaging i didn't notice any freezing.

This is because you're not lining up your auto attacks properly. Pretty sure this is just the core function of Udyr. Have played him as a main for two years. This is more prominent in the early game, so the idea is to use an ability at level two to keep a stack of his passive up, which keeps this from happening. This only happens if you change stances on, or near an autoattack reset. In other words, the windup begins to autoattack, then you change stances, that cancels the windup and restarts it.
