Getting a hextech chest and keys from a hextech chest

Idk if this is a bug cause i never seen this before but i recieved from my hextech chest out of random a hextech chest and a key and happened 2 times in a row in the live servers is this a bug or patch?

This happened to me on a Project Skin Orb the other day. Seemed really weird, but I wasn't going to argue.
