Lack of LP Gain, and Extreme Loss.

Recently while playing ranked, I have been getting LP Gains and Losses which make it annoying to climb. When I win a game, I usually gain 16 Lp, which I believe is on the low side, but that is not my problem. When I lose a game, even if I do amazingly, (Not to say I shouldn't lose a normal amount of LP) I would still lose 18 LP. Mind you I am in Gold IV currently, 78LP. I have been climbing fast, and if you would like to check my op.gg which is linked, you can see how well I do in games. I am wondering if this is normal or not, because I am losing more LP than gaining. Thank you!
