Keyboard hotkeys not working

Ok, so I've had this strange bug where if I'm alt tabbed prior to loading a game, all of my hotkeys don't work. I find particularly strange because I am able to change QWER, items, trinkets, and hotkeys (buying, shop, etc) to other keys in game if the problem occurs. I can change them to my F1 keys, ` key, or mouse buttons, but anything on the qwerty keyboard and numbers don't work.

Things I've tried to fix it: Restart Client while in game Reconnect Repair Game Reinstall game Deleting game.cfg (Took this advice from a thread I found troubleshooting a similar problem)

Even after these I occasionally get the bug and it's extremely painful to play through it due to muscle memory.

I have the Corsair Strafe keyboard. Unsure if this is causing the problem, but I might as tell say what hardware I'm currently using.

I am mostly just wondering why this occurs when I alt tab. Sometimes I'm watching and totally forget about the bug and it's my fault but I want to get it fixed so I don't keep ruining games for other people.

If you need anymore information, I am happy to troubleshoot it with anyone.

Forgot that I am usually alt + tabbed to my other monitor. Not sure if there any strange interaction coming about here because of it.

Thanks,

Coffeeee

I had this same problem with a security update with W10.

turns out the update didn't install key drivers needed and my USB keyboard would just turn right off. power was going through it...but nothing would work until I unplugged it/ plugged in.

then 2-4 minutes later, it would do same damn thing.

I eventually reinstalled and had to make sure drivers were manually loaded for this system to alleviate the agony.

Same issue happens occasionally to me. I have in the past played until it works and then change the PersistedSettings.json file to read only (as I saw on a thread somewhere) but this didn't seem to work in my case. Maybe it would help you though...
