Some Client Problems (Mac)

This had happened to me way to many times before, but I only posted this now because it has really started to annoy me.

So, I was just playing a ranked game, and I was in promos, I think my fifth game, and we just picked our champs. Instead of finding the regular loading screen, theres just black, and then a pop-up that says something close to "Unspecified error occurred, please check your internet connection and try again." After that, I press retry and the same thing happens, so I press cancel. Once I do that, I see the client, and it says "Game in progress" instead of reconnect, so I quit out of the client.

THEN, when i try to open the launcher, the league of legend application opens, and I am met with the League of Legends symbol. It says "Another instance of the launcher is running. Do you want to terminate it?" And I say yes. After this, nothing happens. What do I do? I've already gotten so many penalties from this, and its not even my fault.

I feel (exhausted) every time this happens and I attempt to fix it. Any help please?
