Yasuo ult tool tip problem? (GAMEPLAY)

I just finished playing a game with friends where the enemy yasuo would knock 1 player up, no one else, but then using his R skill picked up multiple people. In the tooltip it says he only ults nearby "airborne" units, but he picks up others as well. I know ppl that are displaced get hit too, but that did not happen he'd hit 1 or 2 with tornado then pick up 2-4 ppl with his ultimate without the others being displaced by any skill. I just want to know if this is a tooltip mess up and he picks up players not displaced but nearby or if this is an actual bug with yasuo.
