macOS Sierra client screen glitch

When starting a game and going full screen, then tabbing out or the game ending my screen either gets a blur or it starts spazzing out, flickering as if it was hit with a hammer. If I had epilepsy I'd probably have had multiple seizures at this point. I literally just started a game and tabbed out and it's now blurry and flashing. Is there a fix for this, can you patch this? It was fine in OS X El Capitan, not in macOS Sierra.

I have had the same issue, first game since updating, I tabbed out and it was blurry, and then again after the game was over it was super blurry again. Im scared to play I don't want it to damage my MacBook

I can 100% confirm this is only caused by the LoL client when using Sierra with the MacBooks built in display. I can kill LoL during the flicker and the flicker stops. Closing the display for a few seconds and then reopening the display seems to bandaid the issue until you:

  1. Start another game and enter the loading screen.
  2. Tab out while in the loading screen(seems reproducible this way most of the time)
  3. Ending a game and the LoL client closes.

All of these issues seem to point to the LoL Gameplay Client and not the launcher/patcher/find game UI. Ill try and grab logs the next time this happens, but I am disappointed that this issue is ongoing for over a month and Rito has not taken any action. This is obviously an issue on their side and needs to be resolved.

Im assuming since the majority of players use PC and not Mac that this issue will not be resolved any time soon and remains low in their priority list.
