Laptop Crashed after Login

So i haven't played in over a month and a half and so i updated my game. From this point on every time I log in it brings up the "homepage" but nothing loads just black squares. Then about 2-10 seconds later my laptop crashes and i can do nothing but hard reset it. are there any workarounds or fixes yet? i have yet to find a solution.
