Black Screen Upon Joining Game

I was in unranked blind pick with a couple friends and when we got to champion select the inner client went black on two of our screens. We could still see the chat service and the close button, but nothing else. After about 25 seconds or so, an error message popped up. I have not been able to replicate since. Has anyone else had this happen?
