Launcher will not load

When I launch league via the shortcut of launcher exe, the process runs in the background but the launcher does not appear. I have reinstalled and deleted all the usual RADS files as other people have said. No results. Ideas?

Redownload it. I had to do the same thing.

I uninstalled the game and then reinstalled, no launcher appearing.

i am having same problem someone plz help 2 much time and money put into this game for this to be happening im on windows 8. But it is not just the shortcut for me everywhere i try to launch lol even in folders or running as administrator nothing works. Just loads logo. i uninstalled and manually hunted and deleted all files associated with lol and when i reinstall still only logo loads no patcher or launcher but it is still running in background and i have to task manager close it at that point.

Sounds similar to my problem, on windows 10 though. No recent changes made to PC.

Im on a mac... However i just deleted the program and redownloaded it which fixed it. Im not sure if that doesnt help what would help.

So... i updated my java and was able to play for a few day's, but now the same thing is happening again

ok now i canceled some random background processes and it works again.
