Zyra's E bug?

Maybe I'm just tripping out or getting frustrated, but on several occasions over the past weeks I've noticed Zyra's E ability, the root, going completely through enemy champions and not rooting or damaging them. Most recently had an E go through a Janna but then root and damage an Amumu directly behind her.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same or I'm just a crazy person.
