Game broke after 6.1 Patch

Just finished patching to 6.1, logged on to try out the new draft champion select. After queueing up and finally getting through the process of the bans and such, the game goes to launch and then Bug Splat. After sending the error report, I closed the client, restarted and it went to repair files. After the file patch was done, I relogged in and tried reconnecting. A pop up then appeared saying I have lost connection and to check my internet. I tried relaunching, didn't work. I tried restarting my computer, didn't work. I don't want to have to reinstall if I don't have too, I also don't want to get a ban.

im having the same problem. at first i couldnt even queue up without the game crashing. now i make it all the way through champ select and once the game is loading my client crashes. getting the same error message about the connection issue when my internet is working perfectly fine. reinstalling wont fix it. I've done that twice already. I havent been able to find a solution but im glad im not the only one experiencing this problem

I was getting same error for few patches now but after 6.1 i actually managed to play one game. But after some small (~50MB) patch today i got that error again. And thing is - it allows me to connect if im using vpn (but idk if that could get me banned since it may look to the game that i play from comlpetely different location).

edit: now it doesnt allow me to connect if im using vpn but does if i turn it off - idk anymore, it feels completely random.
