Ping increases with no valid reason

Hello, Im using an old Lenovo desktop S20 which seems to work perfectly, however it doesnt have a wifi option, so I bought a wifi usb adapter, and everything seemed working well, once in game my ms increases from 63 ms to 2000 ms with no valid reason, I have the same issue for 3 days now. It's definitly not the wifi problem , because my wifi works well and I have checked it, once I exit the game, the connection become fast again. Somebody help it would be much appreciated.
